  • Hanizah Optometry Autorefractometer

    Autorefractometer

Instrument used to obtain gross eye refractive measurement. Checking your eye using autorefractor alone does not enough to get your accurate eye refractive measurement.

  • Hanizah Optometry Keratometer

    Keratometer

Instrument used to measure corneal curvature in order to calculate eye's astigmatism power. The measurement also used to know the initial base curve of the eye during contact lens fitting assessment and verification.

  • Hanizah Optometry Retinoscopy

    Retinoscopy

Retinoscopy is a technique used to obtain an objective measurement of the refractive condition of patient's eyes. Optometrist uses retinoscope to shine light into patient's eye and observes the reflection (reflex) off the patient's retina. Objective refraction power will be obtain by neutralizing the steak of light seen through the instrument. Retinoscopy readings will be the most important guideline for optometrist to prescribe spectacles refractive power.

  • Hanizah Optometry Subjective Refraction

    Subjective Refraction

Subjective Refraction is an attempt to determine patient's refractive power based on their response in order to provide the best corrected visual acuity (vision). It combines techniques such as bsv (best vision sphere), cross-cyl (to determine astigmatism power), duochrome, monocular end-point, balancing, etc. Subjective refraction will determine your level of hyperopia (farsightedness), myopia (nearsightedness), astigmatism and presbyopia.

  • Hanizah Optometry Near Chart

    Near Chart

Having blurry vision on reading? Need to move your near task further away to obtain clear vision? You are experiencing presbyopia symptoms!

  • Hanizah Optometry RAF Rule

    Ishihara Test

A booklet used to detect red/green colour deficiencies or colour blind. Ishihara test is also used to classify whether a patient is having a mild or severe colour defect.

  • Hanizah Optometry Tonometry

    Topographer

Instrument used to do mapping for anterior curve of cornea. Established and important technology for measuring the shape and power of the cornea.

  • Hanizah Optometry Tonometry

    LEA Chart

Pediatric vision test for children who do not know letters of the alphabet. LEA symbols chart is designed to eliminate problems associated with language barriers.
